‘An Abstract View’, an Art Exhibition by Paul McMahon
Clare Arts Office, in conjunction with Clare Museum, is hosting ‘An Abstract View’ by Paul McMahon at the Clare Museum, Ennis, from July 21 to August 23.

Having returned to live in Clare after living in the US and the UK, Paul has been inspired to return to his first love of art and painting. Paul McMahon, as an artist, is exciting because he is fearless. He draws inspiration from some of the master abstract and figurative painters of our time and of old. There is nothing conventional in his work; you may recognise something or you may interpret it as something or somewhere completely different.
This is reflected in his strong painting style, his uncompromising approach to the subject matter, and his use of colour and movement. With such bold use of colour, shape, and form, he cleverly transfers what resides in his mind onto the canvas. His art is thought-provoking and original and jumps off the wall in striking and impactful strokes.
This exhibition is an introduction to his contemporary unique work inspired by his surroundings in County Clare. Paul is a resident Artist at Kilbaha Gallery and a featured artist of the Irish NUA Collective.
